Hi everyone. The website I chose is www.chilebosque.cl because in the first year of my career I used to use it almost every single day for projects in the university. This site is a collaborative project conformed by a group of nature lovers with the common interest of knowledge of native nature. The website present information sheets including plant families, location maps, outstanding flora for each region and photographs of the different types of trees, herbs, cactus, bushes, ferns, epiphytes, fungi, mosses, lichens and more. Even has a “resource library”, that is a lot of books, guides and manuscripts related to native biodiversity. And the most important and useful is that this website is only adapted for native flora and the species are in various ecosystems of our country. I like this website because for beginners of the career is easier to looking for and is very didactic. Then for more detail and precision we have other websites that we can visit and most of them are in English. xo

Hey! When I was little I love so much the animals, I remember that I used to talk every single day about wild animals and where they live. So I supposed in that time my dream job was be a Veterinarian. I was not far about what I’m studying now. I’ve always enjoyed learning about the nature, what surround us; so in the high school I looked for a career that don’t had to job in an office for the rest of my life and obligatory the career have to include the nature because in the future I see myself in a middle of the forest studying it, and that’s how I found Forestry, it was love at first sight! I’ve always wanted entered at Universidad de Chile, I don’t know why, but I supposed was the quality that everybody talks, and now I feel that made the right decision. My family is proud and I’m really happy that I fulfilled another of my dreams. xo

Well let’s see. The climate change is happening now all over the world and its very funny the people that just don’t care about the vital signs of the earth. I mean, we live in this planet and we see economic, politics, social and even scientific problems about the climate change. Even we don’t have to think about the future of the global warming, because we are in the future and we see the impact of the changes in our ecosystem. We see catastrophes, we see that people don’t have water, we see fluctuations in temperature or precipitation, we see the rare animal migration and we see more. I think that the first step to fight the climate change is learn about the problem and realize that it does happening, and I believe that the responsibility is on the scientists for inform correctly to the ordinary people.
